Derek is a Soulblade, and former friend of Tristan Cadence. He attempts to aid Corin Cadence in a task for Visage Katashi, but instead becomes a liability due to the machinations of Lyras Orden.

Tavare usually resides within one of Derek's swords but when summoned looks like a person with golden skin with scale-like armour seemingly growing from their skin.
