Soulbrand is one of the Six Sacred Swords, representing the element fire. It is wielded by Ishyeal Dawnsglow.

A sentient spirit was in it, but it was suppressed by a set of runes on the sword. In Keras Selyrian's duel against Ishyeal in the Tournament of the Sacred Sword, Keras and Dawnbringer use their spellbreaker technique to deactivate those runes.[1] Keras misses, however, resulting in the wrong runes being destroyed. This causes the spirit to be freed from the sword, taking a human form.[2]
