Continent Kaldwyn
World Venaya
Featured In Arcane Ascension

Selys is the goddess of Kaldwyn.

Her six Visages serve her and manage the Soaring Spires she created.

Among others, she is given the title "The Mistress of Trials", due to her enjoyment of providing mortals with escalating challenges [1]. Despite this, she is generally thought to be fair[2].

By taking a Judgment in one of her spires, an Attunement, a mark of Selys' favor, can be earned[2].

Selys' current status is unknown but she has been silent and not appeared in the world for the several hundred years. Warren Constantine even questions if she is dead, never existed or has been chained by the visages or the Tyrant.

Physical Description[edit]

Personality[edit]

Constantine has described Selys as being obsessive with her design of Attunements, basing the scale on "shattered memories" instead of rational thought. Vellum claims that the sword, Selys-Lyann, is a symbol of something that Selys would rather forget, something that represents her regret. Keras considered the goddess as having a sick sense of humour because she uses the monster-filled, death trap spires to distribute magic.

Selys seems to have changed as she raised the spires to distribute Attunements. In the early days of her being on Kaldwyn, she walked in person and directly aided people and the land. Once she raised the spires she stopped helping.
