Soulbrand is one of the Six Sacred Swords, representing the element fire. It is wielded by Ishyeal Dawnsglow.

A sentient spirit was in it, but it was suppressed by a set of runes on the sword. In Keras Selyrian's duel against Ishyeal in the Tournament of the Sacred Sword, Keras and Dawnbringer use their spellbreaker technique to deactivate those runes. Keras misses, however, resulting in the wrong runes being destroyed. This causes the spirit to be freed from the sword, taking a human form.
