"...Dancer in specific is an absolutely fantastic attunement for a couple reasons:

* Speaking of spycraft, the Dancer is also one of the few attunements that has magic that can be used for scrying purposes. Their particular mana combo is often used for a type of classical scrying that uses water as a medium for viewing remote locations."

The Dancer attunement's abilities have not yet appeared in the books. Andrew Rowe says Dancers would probably be some kind of hyper-aware or cognitive evasion fighter. Dancer is the Clarity attunement.

AA4 Appendix: Dancer: This unusual attunement is focused almost entirely on avoiding and countering debilitating effects. They apparently get access to some sort of unique ability that allows them to twist spells used against them back toward their opponents, but rather than being used for physical spells like a Shaper’s magical control, Dancers focus on reversing mental spell effects, poisons, and other similar spell types

"...Dancer in specific is an absolutely fantastic attunement for a couple reasons:

  • It's one of the best attunements for countering non-combat spire threats. The composite mana type (Clarity) is fantastic for puzzle solving, as well as improving focus. It's also one of the absolute best attunements mana types for countering illusions.
  • Dancers are one of those rare cases of an attunement that can get access to their tertiary mana type early, which is one of the things that leads to their name. This gives them unusual flexibility at low levels.
  • The standard attunement functions are built around freedom of movement through the combination of mana types they're given access to, as well as additional mana types not directly granted (primarily transference). Basically, their style is to not get slowed down by anything -- terrain, illusions, poison, etc.
  • In addition to mental mana being a great counter for mental attacks, water mana is a fantastic counter to things like poison, which is super useful in dungeons, as well as dealing with things like spycraft.
  • Speaking of spycraft, the Dancer is also one of the few attunements that has magic that can be used for scrying purposes. Their particular mana combo is often used for a type of classical scrying that uses water as a medium for viewing remote locations."
