The Paladin attunement allows for contracts directly with the Visage or God Beasts, in a similar manner to how a Summoner might make a contract with a monster, but with the attuned being in an obviously subordinate position. A Paladin is a blade of the visages against their enemies, carrying vast visage-specific powers.
