Selys-Lyann is a magical sword, which Corin Cadence receives during his Judgment. It possesses powerful ice magic and is capable of protecting its wielder by forming ice armor to cover them.
Selys-Lyann was forged from the remains of a broken Flowbreaker and has itself been broken several times. According to Lars Mantrake the sword is cursed, since its wielders commonly die gruesome deaths at the hands of Mizuchi, a child of the God Beast Seiryu.
